This graph simulates the compounded growth of an initial investment of $100,000 for each of the strategies listed and the S&P 500 Index over the past 3 years. The initial investment is compounded by the quarterly rate of return for each quarter.
Past performance does not predict or guarantee future performance. The graph above only demonstrates our historical results, which we're very proud of, but no one can predict the future and we don't make promises we can't keep. That said, one promise we CAN (and will) keep is our commitment to continue striving for the best possible rates of return we can get!

Many investors depend on professional advice, but don't realize the basis for that advice may be flawed. Modern Portfolio Theory (MPT) has driven conventional investment management, specifically portfolio construction and asset allocation, for decades, but it has some problems.

According to MPT a portfolio of non-correlated risky investment assets can reduce the overall risk of the portfolio without affecting its returns. The idea was first presented by Dr. Harry Markowitz in an article titled "Portfolio Selection" published in the Journal of Finance in 1952.

If you've ever been offered investment advice in the form of a pie chart of asset allocations, you've seen an MPT-generated model. In fact, if you've ever invested in any kind of retirement account, you've probably been asked to fill out a risk tolerance questionnaire, (another sign you're in MPT-Land)....
